No vocals on "Rollo", you know.
I don't want to start the bitching, but really.. come on..

mWo. It's not just the coolest, it's fa lyfe, so survey says
whether you like it or don't like it, never E-e-e-ver tell
me he did *not* just SMELL what mWo 3:16 reeks of.

Ah, yes, therefore, no "Zomby Woof" riff, either. Hmph!

Maybe you didn't want to start it, but you wanted to bitch.

Hey hey hey come on. Just because Milhaus doesn't like Imaginary
Diseases, that's no cause for you to call him bitch. Manners. Sheesh.

I've always that of that as a Cleetus Awreetus Awrightus riff. That's
where it comes from first, before being quoted at the 'reety-awrighty'
part of Zomby Woof.

Haha! :D
( I would also clarify that I do, in fact, enjoy the album a fair
amount. :) )

Hello Milhouse,
Do you, or anyone else here knows if Rollo had any vocals when
performed on the Petit Wazoo tour? I got one concert- Kansas- and it
is instrumental there too.
Charles, you have several- Any vocals there?
Also, I don't have my copy of Stage 1 at home so I can't check the band
who performed the Yellow Snow cuts on that disc.
Thanks for any inputs,
Marc

Usually--including the show you've got! But the Petit Wazoo arrangement
of Rollo had vocals only on the first, non-Alfonzo, section.
See <http://members.shaw.ca/fz-pomd/wazoo/pwrep.html#rollo>.

Winter 1979. Note that the 1979 arrangement of the Yellow Snow suite
incorporates a vocal version of the section of Rollo that was
instrumental in 1972, and omits the section that was vocal in 1972.
1972 1979
part 1 vocal not played
part 2 instrumental vocal

Hello Milhouse,
Okay, I see it all now. When I got a copy of the Kansa show I did not
make the connection that the song about the dog was Rollo en toto (pun
intended). But the lyrics heard on Stage 1 did not develop until a few
years later, correct?
Thanks very much for reminding me about this link.

Yes, that straightens it out for me. Thanks for defining parts 1 & 2.

The lyrics were not sung until fall '78. Presumably FZ wrote them
sometime after the Yellow Snow Suite was completed in '73, although
maybe he'd already thought up Nanook and St. Alphonzo in '72.
